Retention Account Manager

When a client is thinking about leaving, you're the person who finds out why and puts it right. This is a negotiation-heavy role for someone who can stay calm, listen properly and build a case.

What you'll be doing

• Handling inbound cancellation requests and at-risk accounts referred by the wider team.
• Getting to the real reason behind the request and resolving the underlying issue.
• Negotiating and agreeing retention outcomes within your authority.
• Working with advisory, documentation and health & safety teams to close service gaps.
• Reporting on save rates, root causes and recurring themes.

What we're looking for

• Experience in retention, collections, negotiation or a target-driven client-facing role.
• Genuine resilience — the conversations start difficult.
• Strong listening and objection-handling skills.
• Accurate record-keeping in a CRM.
